うみつける【産み付ける】

〔卵を〕 lay; deposit; (昆虫が) blow; (魚が) spawn.

●ハエの中には果物の中に卵を産み付けるものがある. Some flies lay their eggs in [blow] fruit.

・カメは砂に掘った穴の中に卵を産み付ける. The turtle lays [deposits] its eggs in a hole in the sand.

・アゲハチョウが, ミカンの葉の裏に卵を産み付けると飛び去っていった. A swallowtail laid its eggs on the back of a mikan leaf, and flew off.
